On August 13, 2025, People’s Daily reported the phased achievements of the "Desertification Control in Key Areas of the Great Green Wall of Africa" project in Mauritania, led by the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. As a partner enterprise, Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd. provided assistance and support to jointly establish the China-Africa Green Technology Park demonstration zone.

On July 6, 2025, Mr. Liu Tao, Chairman of the company, and Mr. Tian Zhiqiang, General Manager and Board Secretary of Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd., led a delegation to Urumqi, Xinjiang. They held talks with relevant research institutions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a delegation from the Green University of Uzbekistan, and representatives of Kazakh enterprises, conducting in-depth exchanges on carbon sink forest development, desertification control, and ecological restoration projects, and achieving positive progress.

From June 19th to 21st, 2025, the 2025 Central Asia Ecological Expo was held at the Central Asia Expo Center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Conducts On-site Research in the Aral Sea Region, and Facilitates a New Process of Green Development

Recently, a professional team led by Sinoway Forest's General Manager Tian Zhiqiang and Project Manager Pang Guocong, accompanied by Researcher Ailishaer·Kurban and Researcher Zhang Heng from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, arrived in Sinai, Tunisia, on January 15th to conduct a far-reaching field inspection, gathering crucial data for the subsequent robust advancement of their projects.

On December 3rd, at the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP16) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd., the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Mauritania, and the Mauritania National Agency for the Great Green Wall of Africa jointly signed a four-party memorandum of understanding to cooperate on sand control and carbon sink forest construction projects.

On November 24th, the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change successfully concluded in Baku, Azerbaijan. This conference attracted participants from numerous countries and organizations worldwide, aiming to promote climate finance, accelerate emission reduction efforts, and especially support developing countries. The delegation consisting of Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd. and experts from the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences actively participated in various agendas of the conference and achieved fruitful results.

During the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, held grandly in Baku, Azerbaijan, Sinoway Forest had the honor of engaging in a productive bilateral meeting with the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Mauritania. As a specialist in the field of ecological restoration, Sinoway Forest seized this valuable opportunity to deeply exchange views and visions with the Mauritanian government on environmental protection and sustainable development.

On October 30, 2024, Liu Tao, Chairman of Sinoway Forest Technology Co., Ltd. , along with Cheng Wei, the company's overseas business director, visited Ms. Odontuya, Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia, in Ulaanbaatar. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the 100,000-hectare ecological restoration project surrounding the capital city of Ulaanbaatar and the ecological governance demonstration project in the Gobi region.

On October 17th, Liu Tao, Chairman of Sinoway Forest, officially signed an agreement with the Georgian research institution, Foundation Caucasus Environment (FCE), in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, for a feasibility study on the construction of 50,000 hectares of carbon sink forests in specific regions of Georgia. Through scientific research and feasibility analysis, the feasibility of constructing carbon sink forests in the specified areas of Georgia will be explored. The signing of this agreement marks a new breakthrough for Sinoway Forest in its project layout in the region and demonstrates its firm commitment to addressing global climate change and promoting sustainable development.

On October 14th, Sinoway Forest officially launched a new project in the Aral Sea region of Uzbekistan. This project aims to advance the construction of carbon sequestration forests by utilizing artificial precipitation and seed ball experimental technologies to address local desertification issues. Liu Tao, Chairman of Sinoway Forest, signed a cooperation agreement with Karakalpak State University to jointly research experimental tests for the restoration of the Aral Sea and desertification control.
